Your Burtonsville Lions supporting Southern Bethany Baptist Church Food Drive.

The small sign in front of White Oak Adventist Hospital says "HEROES WORK HERE". It is so true.

Your Burtonsville Lions were able to help our Heroes at White Oak Adventist Hospital and our Heroes at the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department.

We served dinner for both shifts at White Oak Adventist Hospital on Friday April 17th.

We have fed our Heroes at BVFD several times over the last few weeks.

Our Heroes at both BVFD and White Oak Adventist Hospital have been extremely grateful that we were able to help through these times.

We have also supported the food bank at Liberty Grove Methodist for a couple of their pick up nights.

We partnered with our friends at Seibels, Squisitos and Jerrys to provide these meals. Thanks so much to everyone. WE SERVE. WE ONLY WISH WE COULD DO MORE.

SERVING THE BURTONSVILLE COMMUNITY SINCE 1954

The Burtonsville Lions Club was chartered in 1954 to join with the other clubs in pledging unselfish service to our local community and to those less fortunate than ourselves. Club members volunteer their time and energy to a variety of fundraising efforts, all of the profits from which are then designated for charitable uses. In typical years, through the efforts of our members and friends, we staff White Cane collection days, sell Christmas trees, and conduct a charity golf tournament.

While a portion of our budget supports the programs of the larger International Association, our aim is to donate and otherwise spend our funds locally. Currently 80% of our annual operating budget is directed toward local efforts.

WE PROVIDE:

  • Scholarships for local students
  • Eye exams and eyeglasses
  • Hospital and convalescent equipment

WE SUPPORT:

  • Lions Camp Merrick (La Plata, MD)
  • Blood Collection Programs
  • Local Youth Sports programs
  • Local Scouting programs
  • Burtonsville Day Celebration
  • Washington Wheelchair Society
  • Leader Dogs for the Blind
  • Lions Clubs International Foundation
  • District 22-C Music Band Program

CURIOUS ABOUT LIONISM?

Seibel’s is located on Old Columbia Pike.

You are invited to be our guest at one of our dinner meetings. There you can ask questions about Lions Clubs International and The Burtonsville Lions Club. You can also meet our members and consider whether you might want to contribute your time and talents with ours to make the world, and especially our community, a better place to live. If you are interested, please send an email to our club.

If you are interested in joining us, you can read more about becoming a Lion here.

Our monthly meetings are held at 7pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Seibel’s Restaurant. Click here for directions.
